Numbers tell the tale

Do you know how your customers behave on your website? What pages they spend most of their time on, and why? Do you know how many visitors actually converted on your site, within a certain amount of time? Metrics

When the data is gathered, analysed and interpreted correctly it will help us give direction for all your online activities. To give you an idea, some popular (and great!) statistics:

Bounce rate: Percentage of visitors that come to your site, but don?t undertake any other action. Avinash Kaushik once said; I came, I puked, I left! Bounce rate tells us how satisfied people are that come to your website. A high bounce rate can ruin your reputation with Google. Keep in mind though; every website has different (conversion) goals, so different bounce rates give different signals.

Pages per session: How many pages does your potential customer visit? This tells us a bit about how valuable the information is on your website, and how your internal linking is structured. If your content is engaging, visitors are likely to click through.

Channels: Are you investing a lot of time and money in Adwords, SEO and display advertising? Analytics gives us insight in how these channels perform in one overview. It could show that 30% of your traffic comes from your Adwords Campaigns, but that it has a much higher bounce rate which could indicate your campaigns need to be re-assessed.
